Okay, I know this isn't exactly a Ranma & Akane moment, but I included it because it dispels one of the MAJOR complains uninformed people have of the Ranma/Akane pairing: that she's a violent maniac who hits Ranma all the time. Usually, these same people are huge supporters of one of the other fiancees, and see them as Saints who do nothing but feed him-- since *gasp* Akane can't cook. This section, however, proves that this isn't the case. Although Akane does have a tendency to get angry at times, it's no where near as exaggerated as it is in the anime. In fact, Ranma's other fiancée's are just as violent-- if not more so. (And, regardless of popular belief, a lot of the time Ranma deserves it.) Notice how Akane simply hits him on the head with her bag, while Shampoo, Ukyo and Kodachi go crazy on his a**.
FYI: Immediately after beating him up, (Kodachi, Ukyo, and Shampoo) head off to attack Miss. Hinako-- Akane, however, doesn't. GRR! And people say AKANE'S the violent one!!!
Of course, there are TONS more examples, but I just saw this when I was re-reading Volume 25. And since it's always been a pet peeve of mine, I figured I might as well offer some proof since I'll probably be addressing these issues sometime in the future... so, might as well start early.
